Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and White and White Consultants, LLC ("we", "us") covering your use of notarealdeal.com and our mobile app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. What the Service does
Not A Real Deal compares a price you're looking at against prices reported by other retailers, and gives you an opinion on whether it's a good deal. You can look up products for free, or spend scan credits to have our AI read a photo of a price tag for you.
Prices are estimates, not guarantees. We gather pricing from third-party sources that may be incomplete, delayed, or simply wrong. Availability, taxes, shipping, promotions, membership pricing and store-to-store variation all affect what you'll actually pay. Always verify the price with the retailer before you buy. Any purchase decision you make is your own.
2. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. You're responsible for keeping access to that email secure, and for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding contract to purchase credits. Provide an email address you actually control.
3. Scan credits and payment
- AI scans are paid for with credits, sold in packs. New accounts receive a small number of free credits.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details.
- Credits are consumed one per AI scan. If a scan fails because the image couldn't be read, we automatically return that credit to you.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are for use in the Service only.
- Prices for credit packs may change, but a change never affects credits you've already bought.
4. Refunds
Because credits deliver a service immediately, purchases are generally final. That said, we want you treated fairly: if something went wrong — you were charged twice, credits didn't arrive, or the Service wasn't working — email us and we'll make it right, including refunding unused credits. Contact us within 30 days of the purchase.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Use bots, scrapers or automation to access the Service, or resell access to it.
- Attempt to bypass the credit system, rate limits, or authentication.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the Service, or interfere with its normal operation.
- Submit images containing other people's private information, or content you don't have the right to submit.
- Use the Service to break the law, or to systematically harvest pricing data for a competing product.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these rules. Where the violation isn't serious, we'll try to warn you first.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos you submit. You grant us a limited license to process those images — including sending them to our AI provider — solely to produce your scan result and operate the Service. You confirm you have the right to submit whatever you upload.
7. Third-party retailers and links
The Service displays information about, and may link to, third-party retailers. We don't operate those stores, don't control their prices or stock, and aren't responsible for your dealings with them. Any purchase you make from a retailer is between you and that retailer. Some outbound links may earn us a commission at no additional cost to you.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. If we permanently discontinue the Service, we'll make a reasonable effort to refund unused credits.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that pricing information is accurate, complete or current.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost savings, arising out of your use of the Service — including any purchase you made or didn't make based on information we showed you. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless White and White Consultants, LLC from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll revise the date above. If a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY/STATE], and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
